dYdX Community Supports Proposal Allocat $6.6 Mln Proposal for SubDAO V2 Launch

Under the proposal, dYdX’s initial operational subDAO (OPS subDAO) expires on June 19 (DOT 1.0), and to launch DOT over the next 18 months, the community plans to allocate $6.6 mln to cover costs and compensate contributors.

Reverie Reserves, LLC and George Beall have agreed that they will no longer participate in DOT as trustees and executors after the current term expires on June 19, 2023. The dYdX community is actively looking for additional trustees as well as new enforcers.

DOT 2.0 will be responsible for the following:

  • finding an operations manager, technical project manager and site reliability engineer to expand the Ops subDAO and provide technical assistance to the dYdX DAO;
  • search for an indexer operator and participate in the deployment of an indexer in a future version of the protocol;
  • facilitate the deployment of open source software and the operation of applications for iOS, Android and website (browser) interfaces for a hypothetical future version of the protocol;
  • upon completion of the DOT 2.0 mandate, any remaining money will be transferred to a community controlled wallet.
